TOUGH LOVE

Except for his Goji Berry bush, Richard doesn’t grow any thing particularly unusual or exotic, it’s about how he grows the ordinary fruit & veg.

Richard calls it ‘Tough Love‘ - only watering plants immediately after planting out if it is dry. this forces the plants grow deep roots where they can find their own water, deeper in the soil.

‘ I’ve only just started growing goji berries & so haven’t had a crop yet. they’re a super-food, very high in vitamin C & iron &, are thought to boost your immune system.

Goji’s are members of the nightshade family, which also includes tomatoes & peppers, so relatively easy to grow in the UK climate.‘
