Open Gardens for Wildlife

This year we are going to join in with Wellesbourne Open Gardens Event. This will be a lower key event than previous years. However, with that said it is held over two days. The Open Gardens event that is very well attended runs in the afternoon of both days.

We will be opening up the Allotments to guests an hour earlier than when the village gardens are officially opened to the public. We will be serving Tea Coffee and cakes both days and having a number of plots accessible for visitors to walk round and talk to the plot holders.

Rhubarb Collection in Support of Shipton Nursing Home

We will be collecting the Rhubarb on Saturday 25th and 26th April 25th.

We will be placing a large collection basket by the notice board so please place any Rhubarb you can spare in the basket as it will be gratefully received. Donated Rhubarb which is turned into Jars of Jam, Relish and crumbles. This was then sold in aid of Shipston Nursing home - hospice at Home. Thank you

There will also be a Seed Swap on the night…..
Bring along any spare seed packets that are within expiry date and swap for something different/interesting/new to you

Open Day Planning Meeting

We are holding our first planning meeting for our NGS Open day. We will be discussing the day in more detail and exploring what we can all do to make this great event a success. Without your help we wont be able to proceed so no matter what contribution you can make please do come along . You don’t have to commit to helping the whole day as there are many activities that will be required before the event. Don’t worry is you cannot make this initial meeting there will be others but please let Claire know if you can assist. Thank you to those who have already pledged help. We look forward to meeting as many volunteers as possible on the 21st
