Local Elections 6th May 2021

Cllr Penny-Anne O’Donnell election campaign video made on our site, highlights how our Allotment Community is helping to support the most vulnerable in our village with our Dementia Friendly Plot.

For this and many other reasons, our Wellesbourne site is designated as an Asset of Community Value

  • Our latest survey showed more than 600 residents benefit from fresh produce from our Plot Holders

  • Gardening a plot is not only good for the mental, social and physical wellbeing of everyone who goes there, it's also good for the village and the environment.

  • Our National Garden Scheme Open Day alone has raised more than £8,000 for charity.

  • Putting Wellesbourne on the map by attracting National & Local TV & Radio coverage of our site

We are proud that our plot holders work hard to promote & share the benefits from gardening a plot, help to improve village life for its residents and raise charitable funds.

With a waiting list of more than 50 residents wanting a plot, we need more, not less, allotments in Wellesbourne

It would be catastrophic to lose this historical site & it should remain a local priority to ensure Wellesbourne Allotments are safe from development so it can continue to feed the village for at least another 200yrs.
